How To Spark Your Zeal When You’re In a Season of Rebirth

It’s the time of year when mainstream culture celebrates the sweetness and playfulness of Easter—a blend of historic traditions, seasonal folklore, and present-day trends—with the Easter bunny, pastel-colored everything, chocolate eggs wrapped in foil 🍫, beautiful decorations on mantles, and fresh flowers starting to bloom 🌷.

But beyond the candy and colors, this season holds a deeper meaning across many spiritual and cultural traditions—from Ostara’s celebration of spring’s return, Passover’s story of renewal, Easter’s message of resurrection and new life, and even the quiet rituals we create for ourselves.

And at the heart of many of these traditions is one simple, powerful symbol: the egg.

More than a decoration or a yummy chocolate treat, the egg is a timeless symbol of rebirth—representing not just the beginning of life, but the tender, quiet moment before something new fully emerges.

It reflects what’s quietly unfolding within you—a sacred becoming that happens beneath the surface, often before the world can see it.

When something new is growing. Forming. Becoming.

The egg holds that sacred in-between space.
It’s not where you used to be. And it’s not quite where you’re going.
But it’s still part of your transformation. It's rebirth.

If you’ve been feeling a little foggy, uncertain, or in limbo—this is your reminder: You’re not stuck. You’re just still inside the shell.

When the time is right… the shell will crack. Not because you force it. But because your next version is ready to breathe.

And when that moment comes, it’s not about forcing a breakthrough—it’s about honoring the quiet power of becoming. That’s why I created a simple ritual to help you mark this season of transformation with intention.

Here’s a gentle practice to support your becoming:

1. Light a candle 🕯 Choose any color that feels fresh and alive. As you light it, imagine the flame as a reflection of your inner fire—small, steady, and full of potential.

2. Take a few deep breaths.🧘‍♀️Let your exhale be longer than your inhale. Release any tension you're holding—in your jaw, shoulders, and belly. Let your body know: It’s safe to soften.

3. Write a letter 💌 To the part of you that’s still inside the shell, tell them what you see. Remind them of what’s coming. Let them know they don’t have to be afraid to grow.

4. Fold the letter slowly and hold it to your heart. 💗 Let your hands rest there,  feel the warmth of your body, and whisper these words: “I trust the process of my becoming. I am safe to be reborn.” Then, keep the letter somewhere special—or release it in whatever way feels right.

Remember, whether you’re still inside the shell or already beginning to crack it open—rebirth isn’t a one-time event.

It’s a cycle. A rhythm. 🔄

And for many of us, that rhythm is showing up in our bodies right now in deeper ways—especially as we move through big transitions like perimenopause.

If you’re feeling shifts in your body, your energy, or your identity—especially around perimenopauseyou’re not alone.

On April 28th, I’m moderating a soulful and informative gathering for women navigating the season of perimenopause

Presented by Divines and NNABI, this powerful conversation features a panel of experts, including Dr. Sadaf Lodhi, Dr. Gabrielle Francis, and Executive Coach Masa Gong—coming together to shed light on the often overlooked hormonal transitions women experience in their 30s and 40s.

Join these trusted experts as they share real insights, nurturing tools, and empowering perspectives to help you feel seen and supported through it all. If you’re craving support, reflection, and sisterhood in this season—this is for you. Click here to join us.

You don’t have to rush into or be scared of the next version of yourself—they're already unfolding, gently and in their own time. Becoming isn’t about fixing what we think is broken. It’s about honoring what’s ready to evolve.

ZEAL AFFIRMATION

"I release who I was with love, and I welcome who I’m becoming with joy."

This affirmation is a powerful reminder that rebirth isn’t about erasing the past—it’s about honoring who you’ve been while making space for who you’re becoming. Especially during seasons of change like perimenopause, when so much is shifting physically and emotionally, and it feels like we're losing ourselves. But this season isn’t about fading—it’s about transforming. This affirmation gently invites you to let go with grace and step forward with gentle trust.
