How To Spark Your Zeal When It Feels Like Time is Slipping Away

“As I step into October, I choose alignment over urgency and allow myself to be guided by clarity and purpose.”

As September slips away, I find myself wondering—where has the year gone? And maybe you are wondering this too.

The year seems to have moved in waves, carrying us through seasons of momentum and stillness, and suddenly we arrive at this moment, standing at the threshold of the last three months.

It’s a season that can stir both reflection and urgency: the projects unfinished, the dreams still in motion, the quiet pressure to “make it all happen” before the year’s close.

I remember feeling this deeply during the beginning of my corporate years—watching the calendar flip, sensing time accelerate, and believing I had to push harder and faster to keep up. But I’ve learned over time—professionally, personally, and spiritually—that rushing doesn’t bring us closer to fulfillment; it only pulls us further from our center.

Instead of allowing this pressure to take hold of your mind, body, and spirit, what if you made this moment a sacred pause? A season not of sprinting, but of aligning?

Imagine stepping into October not depleted, but magnetic—centered in your purpose, receptive to abundance, and guided by clarity instead of chaos.

Here is a ritual to help you do this.

A Ritual for Centering Before Fall

 1. Set the Scene – Find a quiet space. Light a candle to invite warmth and clarity, or place a crystal beside you to center your energy.

2. Call Yourself Back – Close your eyes and place both hands over your heart. Take three slow breaths, imagining yourself gathering all the scattered pieces of your energy back home to your center.

3. Honor What Has Been – Open your journal and write down three moments, blessings, or manifestations from this year that you’re grateful for. Let yourself feel the abundance that already lives within your journey.

4. Plant an Intention – On the next page, write one clear intention for the season ahead. Not as a demand or a deadline, but as an offering: “I welcome this into my life with grace and gratitude.”

5. Seal the Energy – Read your words aloud, then fold the page and place it beneath your candle, crystal, or on your altar. Trust that your intention has already begun to move toward you.

When we slow down and center ourselves, we shift from the frantic energy of lack into the calm knowing of abundance and flow.

We remember that deadlines and metrics are not the whole story—our joy, our health, and our sense of purpose matter just as much.

So as you step into October and the final quarter of the year, I invite you to resist the pull of the rush.

Pause. Reconnect. Realign.

Because the most powerful manifestations for the months ahead will come not from urgency, but from ease.

And just as you are called to realign as an individual, so too is the culture of the team you lead and belong to. That’s why I created my signature Spark Your Zeal® Keynotes—to help you and your colleagues shift from urgency to alignment, prevent burnout, and infuse your work with purpose and vitality. PROMPT OF THE WEEK

Use it with your favorite AI companion to help you Spark Your Zeal a little deeper. It’s a heart-led practice to help you gain clarity, insights, or inspiration. Below is this week’s prompt to explore:

When I feel the pressure to push harder and faster as the year winds down, what would it look like to pause instead? Guide me to reframe this urgency into an opportunity for alignment—help me see how slowing down can actually make me more magnetic to the abundance and clarity I desire this season.

WHY THIS IS POTENT

This prompt is potent because it transforms urgency into awareness. Instead of being swept up in the pressure to push harder as the year winds down, it creates a pause—a sacred moment to reframe. By asking how slowing down can make us more magnetic to clarity and abundance, it shifts the energy from burnout to alignment, reminding us that manifestation flows not from force, but from ease.
