How To Spark Your Zeal When You Feel Insecure

 

Can we speak openly and honestly?

 

I want to talk about those moments when insecurity creeps in.

 

It casts a dark shadow over us. It whispers doubts, making us question our worth, our abilities, and our very dreams. 

 

Suddenly, that project we were excited about seems insurmountable, that social gathering feels like a minefield of potential judgment, and that dream we've been chasing feels like a distant, unattainable fantasy. 

 

It can manifest in a million subtle ways: avoiding eye contact, downplaying our accomplishments, or constantly seeking reassurance. It can even physically manifest, leaving us feeling tense, anxious, and unsure of ourselves.

 

But here's the truth, my loves: Insecurity is a liar. It thrives in the darkness of self-doubt, but it flourishes under the radiant light of self-belief.

 

So, how do we spark our zeal when we're feeling insecure? 

 

Here are a few things I've learned over the years when I've been extra self-conscious.

Embrace Your Imperfections

First of all I want you to remember, darling… NOBODY is perfect. Not you, not me, and not the person that you idolize.

 

Your flaws, your quirks, your story – they are all part of what makes you you. Embrace them, celebrate them and know your worth lies in who you are, not in any perceived flaws.

Surround Yourself With Positivity

Energy is CONTAGIOUS. Surround yourself with people who uplift you, inspire you, and believe in you. Their positive vibrations will help you rise above insecurity.

 

And when you're feeling low, don't be afraid to ask a close friend for some validation! Make it a girls' night where you drink wine and write affirmations about each other! 💖

Focus On Your Strengths

What are you good at? What are you passionate about? What skills come easily to you?

Focus on your strengths and let them guide you. Your zeal will naturally flow when you're doing what you love and what you're good at, and it will rekindle that confidence and security.

Practice Self Compassion

Please kind to yourself, my love. Talk to yourself with the same love and understanding you would offer a dear friend. Remember, you are worthy, you are capable, and you are deserving of all the good things life has to offer. 

One of my favourite ways to reconnect with myself is by writing a love letter to myself. You'd be surprised how helpful it is and what comes out 💖

Your ZEAL is your inner fire. It's the spark that ignites your passion, your purpose, your dreams. Don't let insecurity extinguish it. 

Embrace your imperfections, surround yourself with positivity, practice self-compassion, focus on your strengths, take action, and visualize your success.
