How To Spark Your Zeal When You Feel Confined
I see you; I’ve been where you are.
I understand what it’s like to feel confined. It’s as if you're limited in life, unable to expand or step forward while the world moves around you. Deep within your heart, an ache makes you question everything—your light, direction, purpose, and even your worth.
I’ve been in that space of confinement, wondering if the spark inside me, my inner zeal, had burned out. It’s heavy and overwhelming, and made me wonder if I'd ever feel that spark again.
But here’s what I’ve learned through my moments of confinement. Feeling confined doesn’t mean we’ve failed. It doesn’t mean we’ve lost our zeal. Nor is it the end of our story, it’s a pause.
Why?
These pauses are often gentle reminders to practise self-care, recharge our inner strength, ground ourselves more, or trust that even when we feel unsure about how to move forward, there’s still something beautiful and purposeful waiting for us. It’s part of the process as we become the fullest, most aligned version of ourselves.
Now, when I feel confined I no longer question everything. Instead, I lean into these pauses. I let emotions flow by writing in a journal. I light a candle to remind myself that even the smallest flame can shine. I make a cup of tea and wrap myself in my coziest blanket. Or I take a moment to be still, breathe and ask myself gently: What do I need right now?
So hold yourself with tenderness and be gentle with your heart. Let your emotions flow, light a candle as a reminder of your light, or wrap yourself in comfort. Do whatever you need to do to be kind and loving to yourself. Then, when you’re ready, take one small step, no matter how tiny it may seem.
Please know that you’re not alone in this: I see you, I understand what you’re going through, and I’m holding this moment with you. And I promise, your infinite zeal is waiting and will be there for you when you’re ready.
ZEAL AFFIRMATION
“My inner zeal flows through me, reminding me that I am never truly confined. I am in the process of becoming the fullest, most aligned version of myself.”
This affirmation encourages you to see that you are becoming the fullest, most aligned version of yourself. In times of confinement, you can release old patterns, learn valuable lessons, and prepare yourself to move forward with greater clarity, purpose, and zeal.
